The view of the mountains behind my houseHey guys!
Well, for those that have read any of my other blog postings...here's another one. We'll see how long this one lasts. Any predictions? Well, there's probably only about 7 people that will ever read this...and I talk to those 7 people at least once a day...so I don't know how important this really is. But anyway. So a lot has happened since school got out. I got a great summer job which I will probably keep next year as well. Its a company called logoworks, and we design logos, business cards, stationary, websites etc. for businesses. However, logoworks just got bought by Hewlett Packard, so officially, I know work for HP. That has been pretty nice for several reasons. Sure its a great company to work for...and sure its fun...and yeah we get good benifits...but the coolest thing about it is that we get discounts on all this cool HP merchandise...which is rad. And on Thursday they bought all of the 140 employees at logoworks new digital cameras. No strings attached...just gave us some toys. And they're nice too...so I'm going to start actually posting pictures on my blog this time. The pictures I'm posting today are just some panoramic pictures of my house and stuff. Nothing too exciting. Although there's only like 5 pictures this time...because the memory card I bought was defective....and I can't take very many pictures yet.
Funny story before I finish my first post...I work two jobs right now actually. My other job is at a travel agency, and I have to be there at 8 am. The other day came home at night, and I was exhausted as usual. So I took a nap...and then woke up a couple of hours later. I was kinda groggy, and looked outside and saw that it was light out. I looked at my cell phone and saw that it was 8:00. I automatically thought that I had slept all night and that it was now 8:00 am. So I hurried to get in the show and head out the door since I was already late for work. And I called my boss (keep in mind that it is actually 8:00 pm) and was like, "Hey Dale, this is Ethan. I'm running a little late, but I'll be there as soon as I can." I didn't want to admit that I had slept through my 7:00 alarm, so I tried to be vauge about why I was late for work. And dale is like, "Late for what?" Confused, I said, "I'm late for work. Yeah, I'm on my way and I'll be there soon." Even more confused, he said, "You mean work tomorrow?" I had no idea what was going on. Was today Sunday and I'm not going into work until tomorrow? I couldn't figure out what was happening. SO I was like, "No Dale. I slept through my alarm this morning and I'm going to be late for work today." There was a pause and Dale said, "Dude, are you smoking crack?" I got kinda defensive, and I was like, "No! I'm just going to be late, thats all." Dale is finally like, "Dude, its 8:00 at night." Another uncomfortable pause...and I'm like..."Oooooh, that makes more sense. Okay, well I'm definitely going to be on time for work tomorrow."
Yeah it was pretty funny. Moral of the story...don't work so hard that you can't remember what day it is.

Even though I'd heard the "late for work" story, I got tickled reading it again! lol! What a great story!
My prediction on the blog... I'm going to be optimistic and hopeful, and factor in that you have this cool camera to use and you can post pictures that you make, so I'm going to say that you'll keep this one going!
And I loved seeing your house and the scenery around there and your rooms and pictures and all! Thanks for posting! I love it! And thanks, HP, for helping make it all possible with that great new camera! :)
